Lost Spark
I love photography. No denying that fact.
But, lately, it seems as if I've lost the spark, the curiosity to snap pictures of everything around me. And, sometimes I miss it - that quickening of senses when you spot a colour or scenario worth capturing and the anticipation of seeing the shot appear on screen.
I've even stopped carrying my camera around me. Granted, my trusty digicam broke down. And my not repairing it says a thousand words, I think. Am I holding off repairing it coz I keep telling myself I'll get that long-lusted-after digital SLR? Or is because it just feels wrong to pick up my familiar friend after documenting scenes from my father's funeral?
Right now, I'm still searching for the answers and the way back still looks murky to me.
A change of scene may do me good, I hope. New faces, new places. But, until I go on my next holiday, I shall try and muddle my way through this rut.
